Supervision in counselling, psychotherapy and in the caring professions

Are you looking for a creative approach to supervision as a counsellor or a professional supporting people in caring professions (education, health, social care, pastoral)?

I use embodied and creative media to allow you to offload, explore and broaden your understanding of your role and professional practice.

Our caring professions pose an intense emotional demand on us. What do we do with the impact of that demand? What do we do with everything that triggers, accumulates and affects us daily?

Supervision is the ideal space to be able to offload the heaviness and confusion. It’s the place where we are able to reflect on, challenge and gain new insights and lights for our thoughts, feelings and attitudes within our workplace and role.

But I know that sometimes words are limited to express what we hold and ruminate inside. Using a creative approach with different art/play media as well as integrated embodied practices such as movement and breathwork can offer an alternative for expression, exploration and internal growth from within with a holistic approach.

It the caring professions we face diverse challenges and might question different aspects of our role, practice and profession.

My person-centred, integrative and creative approach sees you as a professional who from time to time needs to pause and take stock to get in touch with your internal fire and wisdom to find renewed light and insights along the way.

I firmly believe in our possibility of the continuous re-creating of ourselves as counsellors or professionals in a caring role.

I have experience in working with clients of any age, but am especially passionate about working with children and young people (over 20 years experience).

The supervision I offer is also informed by my training in Psychology and Educational Psychology, my experience of work in deprived areas through social justice projects, as well as my multi-cultural awareness (as Latin American in the UK).

In supervision the main focus will be the best interest of your clients and, at the same time, your growth as a professional counsellor. As a member, my work is guided by the BACP Ethical Framework.

I currently offer in person supervision near Blackburn or online supervision throughout the country.
